Dr. Alliyah Higgins-Jones gained her doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy in 2023. She brings a diverse clinical background spanning early intervention, inpatient care, outpatient settings, home health, hand therapy, and pediatric outpatient services. Her areas of specialty include pediatrics, fine motor development, visual motor integration, executive functioning, emotional regulation, sensory processing, feeding, and reflex integration.
She is passionate about creating meaningful, functional progress for every child while empowering families with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to support growth beyond sessions. Her approach is rooted in connection, play, and collaboration—meeting each child where they are and helping them build the skills they need to thrive in their everyday environments.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, toddler, and dog, as well as traveling, and trying new cuisines.

Alliyah provided therapy for my 2 1/2 year-old daughter in 3 different settings- day care, clinic and home. The home visits were the most enjoyable and valuable - as a parent I could observe how to support my child’s current interests and skills while building on life skills such as using eating utensils, nasal tissue use-removing and donning on socks/ shoes.
